Stainless steel PH13-8Mo(XM-13,S13800) is a martensitic precipitation hardening stainless steel capable of high strength and hardness along with good levels of resistance to both general corrosion and stress-corrosion cracking. In addition, the alloy exhibits good ductility and toughness in large sections in both the longitudinal and transverse directions. Stainless steel 13-8Mo has been used for valve parts, fittings, cold-headed and machined fasteners, shafts, landing gear parts, pins, lock washers, aircraft components, nuclear reactor components and petrochemical applications requiring resistance to stress-corrosion cracking.

As per the customer's request, Stainless steel PH13-8Mo(XM-13,S13800) will be furnished in various heat treatments such as Condition A, Condition H950, H1000, H1025, H1050, H1100, H1150 and H1150M. The mechanical properties are altered by different age hardening treatments.
