The commonly used R type gasket according to section divided into elliptic or octagonal, standard R type ring gasket by API6A and ASME B16.20 standard size, maximum pressure is 10000PSI.
In the trapezoidal groove flange gasket and elliptical pad can be interchanged. RX octagonal pad applies pressure enhanced standard R type ring gasket, suitable for R type as the flange groove seal face. BX octagonal pad applies pressure enhancement and design application of15000PSI high pressure system. There are a variety of materials and form applicable to different design and operating requirements, reference material properties table.
Note: the choice of gasket material hardness should be below the flange15 ~ 20HB, and is not recommended for repeated use.
