Experience Digital Television
One advantage of digital television is the ability for a broadcaster to transmit more than one program simultaneously on one channel. This is done by using major and minor channel numbers such as 4-1 (major channel) and 4-2, 4-3 and 4-4 (minor or sub-channels.) With DTV, a broadcaster on channel 4 may provide their usual programming on channel 4-1 but also provide other programs on channel 4-2, 4-3, 4-4 etc.
Channel Scan and Surf
Scanning for channels is easy and is basically the same method you would perform with your home TV. Your DTV box will scan the RF input for all DTV channels and at the same time add the found channels to a list available to you. The Auto Program Status window appears on your monitor and provides you with channel scan progress and walks you through the process. Tune and decode in all 18 approved ATSC DTV broadcast formats. Use auto or manual program to get your channels. The receiver system also has multiple language support (English, Spanish, French) available.
