Pinions gears / 1.1m×2.5m gear shaft

Pinions gears are used to convert rotation into linear motion. The pinions gears system involves the use of a small round gear called pinion and a large flat gear called rack, more the number of teeth in the pinion gear, more is the speed of rotation. Pinion with less number of teeth produces higher torque. The pinion is attached to the motor shaft with glue. The rotation of pinion about a center helps the rack to move in a straight line.
