In order to illustrate the working of the MFE system of tools, a complete operation will be described in which a step by step sequence of a MFE test is included to relate the position of the tool to the effect of the well bore and formation, Figure will be used for illustration.
The string is run in the hole with the MFE closed to prevent the drill fluid from entering the drill stem. The MFE By-Pass Valve is open allowing fluid to by-pass the packer when tight sections are encountered. The MFE Safety Seal and Packer are collapsed.
