TCI and ST bits have near gauge of tungsten carbide and/or diamond compacts to provide increased bit durability.
Depending on the formation hardness, these bits used tungsten carbide inserts or steel teeth as their cutting structure to provide efficient drilling of any type of formation , maximum wear resistance and extended bit life.
Hardfacing is applied along steel teeth, including those in the heel row. Enhanced thick hardfacing is applied on sides, faces and noses of teeth for maximum protection.
