Harry Bertoia designed this beautiful bar stool in 1952 to go with the rest of his iconic wire rod collection. Made mostly of air because space passes through them, as Bertoia likes to mention, this delicate piece looks great in at any counter. Knoll is the only licensed manufacturer of the classically beautiful Bertoia Collection. The seat cushions and back pads are secured to the chair with domed metal lock snaps. The Bertoia Stool is available in another version with full covers stretched over the seat basket and attached with hooks. After this seat was designed mid-century it won the Certificate of Merit Award. After staying a favorite design for more than 50 years, the Bertoia Stool will continue to stay contemporary and chic for many years.
