Organza is a plain weave, sheer fabric traditionally made from silk. It is surprising sheer, crisp as well as extremely lightweight. The open weave is naturally stiff without the addition of any "stiffeners", so great for specific use in wedding garments, dresses, petticoats, costuming, Christmas tress ornaments, lampshade work, interfacing, etc.
