Technical conditions for plates of S355J0-Z35 ESR
1. Scope
The technical conditions apply to plates of S355J0-Z35 with thickness not less than 150mm to 400mm.
2. Dimension, Shape, Weight and Permissible Deviation
The dimension, shape, weight and permissible deviation shall meet the requirements of EN10029.
Flatness: max 6mm/m.
3. Technical conditions
3.1 Chemical composition (Ladle analysis)
The chemical composition of plates shall be accordance with the following table 1.

3.2 Carbon equivalent (CEq)
Carbon equivalent shall be not more than 0.50 for plates of S355J0-Z35.
Carbon equivalent shall be calculated as follows:
CEq=C+Mn/6+(Cr+Mo+V)/5+(Ni+Cu)/15 (%)
3.3 Steel making process: EAF+LF/VD+ESR
3.4 Mechanical properties
The mechanical properties of S355J0-Z35 shall meet the requirement as table 2.

3.5 Surface quality
The surface quality of plates shall be accordance with EN10163-2.
3.6 Ultrasonic inspection
Plates shall be ultrasonic inspected per ASTM A578/A578M level C.
3.7 Direction of Thickness
Through thickness tension testing shall be done according to EN10164 (%Re ≥ 35)
3.8 Test method and inspection rules
Test items, sampling quantity, sampling method and test method shall conform to table 4.

4. Package, marking and certificate
Package, marking and certificate shall conform to EN10028-1.
5. The third party inspection
The chemical composition, tensile test and Charpy -V impact test for plates of S355J0-Z35 shall be witnessed by surveyor of GL.
6. Delivery conditions
The delivery conditions for plates of S355J0-Z35 shall be Normalized.
7. Other requirements
The other requirements for plates of S355J0-Z35 shall be accordance with EN10028-3.
MTC accordance with EN10204 3.1
