The design looks vaguely like a green-beaked parrot. OXO's typical nonslip comfort material clads the central handle, with a gently serrated slicing knife at one end and a scoop with six plastic cutting blades at the other. In between is the pitter: three unsharp metal blades that grasp the exposed pit and remove it from the avocado with a twist, and a finger hole for popping the pit off into the compost bin. The blades and pitter well are made of non-BPA plastic (color options are green or white), and you can toss the tool in the top rack of the dishwasher for cleaning. It measures just under 8 inches long and 2.2 inches across, so it doesn't take up much room in the gadget drawer. And at 3.7 ounces, the 3-in-1 should be able to pit and slice a whole case of avocados for Super Bowl guacamole without giving you hand fatigue.
