Cold Rolled Steel
|
WELDON recommends cold rolled steel for general purpose enclosures. It offers a good combination of cost and structural integrity (stiffness). |

Galvanized Steel
|
Generic term referring to a number of products, but we stock GALVANNEAL. Powdercoated galvanneal is significantly more durable in wet environments compared to cold-rolled steel, but not as durable as stainless or aluminum |

Stainless Steel
|
Premium solution to corrosion resistance Same stiffness advantage of steel yet even higher strength Non-painted Stainless is 'passivated' using Citric Acid to remove any iron contamination that may show up as rust spots |

Aluminum
|
Aluminum is corrosion resistant and light weight. Lower structural stiffness than steel (about 1/3), must be compensated for by thicker gauge. |

Copper

We stock copper alloy C110, which is a general purpose copper designated in ASTM Standard B152. C110 has very high conductivity along with exceptional formability, and is thus ideally suited for electrical and electronic applications. WELDON customers often use copper in custom bus bars (see our Copper Bus Bar page for more information), as well as in other applications. |

WELDON builds fully custom enclosures in 2-3 days. We can start with your CAD drawings, or you can take advantage of our design services and start with sketches, concepts, or components. As with all our enclosures, custom cutouts are included, so you don't have to waste time drilling and filing as with off-the-shelf enclosures, cabinets, or consoles. We build in all the hardware and fasteners that you need, as well as internal metal components such as brackets, backplanes, and partitions. Powdercoat finish is standard, and silkscreening is available to enhance functionality and aesthetics.
