Deep groove ball bearing is the most common type of rolling bearing. The basic one is made up of a outer ring, a inner ring, one set of  steel balls and one set of cage. It has two types, single row and doule row. The structure of it also has two kinds, open bearing and capped bearing. Open bearing is the one without sealed system. The type code of single row deep groove ball bearing is 6 and double row deep groove ball bearing is 4. The simple structure and easier using make it become the most widely used bearing.
The purpose of a deep groove ball bearing is to reduce rotational friction and support radial and axial loads.
