AV3985 Millimeter-wave Noise Figure Analyzer adopts several high and new technologies such as wideband track pre-selection, wideband low-noise millimeter-wave amplification, multi-functional integrated miniature design, high-speed sweep measurement, embedded PC hardware platform, Windows 2000 software platform, and Chinese interface, which is easy of realizing high-precision measurement of noise figure and gain in linear or quasi-linear network of microwave and millimeter-wave at 10 MHz ~ 40 GHz.

  1. Perfect measurement function, allowing achievement of noise figure and gain measurement of amplifier, up and down converter, etc. components or system 
  2. With Loss compensation function, compensating the loss before and after DUT in the form of fixing, table and combination, for addressing the testing difficulty of millimeter-wave tube requiring deembedding

Available in dual noise source drive capability, supporting both common noise source and intelligent noise source, plug-and-play for the latter with ENR (excess noise ratio) automatic loading

Flexible and visual user interface is easy for use. All keys are arranged by function, as clear as day and easy of search. Simple layer of special function keys, only have several layers, clear layering of parent menu and submenus, and real-time display of instrument testing status on screen offers higher accuracy of measurement, prompt measurement tips and guide dialog box facilitate a faster and more accurate measurement. 

 

True color LCD HD display

 

AV3985 Millimeter-wave Noise Figure Analyzer is provided with a 17cm true color LCD display on which the noise figure and gain variation with frequency are displayed, which improves the user’s comfort and distinctness. Moreover, it is also available in multiple display effects: three display formats, two independent channels, multiple combined curve graphics and up to six measurement results, etc. 

 

Variable measurement bandwidth

 

4MHz bandwidth is still applicable in noise testing system for many modern applications. However, the rapid development of wireless communication and increasing congestion of RF spectrum gradually present demand for narrowband noise figure measurement. AV3985 Millimeter-wave Noise Figure Analyzer has variable measurement bandwidths and can realize actual measurement at bandwidth of different resolutions, i.e. 4MHz, 2MHz, 1MHz, 400kHz, 200kHz and 100kHz, which is critical for improving narrowband measurement precision. 

 

Abundant peripheral interfaces

 

Multiple peripheral interfaces, such as GP-IB, RS232, LAN, USB, VGA and universal computer keyboard and intelligent mouse interface, greatly facilitate re-setup of various applications and systems.
