Applications:
1. Free grinding and polishing—For glass, crystal, jade, glass screen, single crystal silicon, optical lens, rust sand blasting and other products
2. Resin abrasives—as replacement of 20-40% BFA for cutting discs.
3. Coated abrasives—for sandpaper and sponge
4. Sandblasting—Compared with silica sand, Garnet has a better performance in hardness, acid and alkali resistance in sand blasting. Garnet is used for blast cleaning for preparation before painting (Sandblasting), Industrial Parts cleaning, concrete aluminum, automotive glass, textiles, corrugated boxboard, plastics laminates, aerospace, composite, etc.
5. Waterjet cutting—The main application of garnet is water jet cutting. Mixed with high pressure water, garnet is used to cut steel and other materials in water jets. Users find garnet to be the best in terms of cost, cut speed, and health hazard.
6. Water filtration—Multi-media water filtration systems use three or more media usually sand, anthracite coal and garnet . Garnet is suitable as filter media for being naturally hard and high density granular, and garnet is recommended as a support bed for other materials such as sand .
7. Stone washing—of denim fabric, providing only fading of dye but not damaging the stitching.
8. Surface preparation—Garnet is widely used for polishing glass faceplates of television, computer monitors and optical glasses. For artistic engraving or matting surface such as glass, marble, granite, etc.
