After the completion of 2D product drawing on automobile wiring harness, production process of wire harness has to be arranged; processing serves for production, and the two are inseparable, therefore, the author will combine the production and processing of automobile wiring harness together and analyze.
The first station of wiring harness production is wire setting, of which the accuracy is related to the entire production schedule; once there's a mistake, especially if the size of wire setting is relatively short, it will cause the previous work repetition of all the stations, time-consuming, strenuous and will influence the production efficiency. Therefore, working out wire setting processing must be in accordance with drawing requirements and reasonably determine the setting and stripping sizes of wires.
The second station after wire setting is crimping, the pressing parameter is determined according to terminal type specified on drawing and crimping operation instructions should also be produced accordingly; special demands have to be noted on processing documents and be trained among workers. For instance: some wires can only be pressed after going through the sheath, they need to be pre-installed and then return to pre-installation station to be crimped again; some punctured crimping will need special pressing tools, this crimping method has good electrical contact performance.
Then there is the pre-installation process; first, work out pre-installation processing instructions, in order to improve final assembly efficiency, complex wiring harness are to be set up with pre-installation stations, the reasonability of pre-installation process is directly connected to the final assembly efficiency and the technical ability of processing staff. If the assembling in pre-installation stage is not enough or the wire route assembled is not rational, the workload of the general assembly staff will increase and the assembly line speed will reduce, therefore, processing staff need to stay on the site often and conclude.
