Introduction
Horizontal ribbon feed mixer/feed mixing machine is the second key part of a complete feed
pellet production line/feed pellet making line used to mix the dry ingredients well. Because of
variety of raw materials,it is necessary to mix them together.It may also be a process where
liquid ingredients may be added and blended with dry ingredients to make a homogeneous
mixture of all.

Working principle
A screw conveyor or bucket elevator is match with feed mixer as a feeding device, there is two feeding
devices, one is to transport the main crushed ingredients particles or powder , the other is for lifting the
auxiliary ingredients such as vitaimin and so on. there is two inlets on the top of feed mixer
to receive the above ingredients.
Some animals like to weet taste feed pellet , molasses or lquid flavoured ingredients can be added with
a few atmizing nozzles.You can observe the ingredients feeding and mixing condition by view port.
The"twin-spiral" mixer consists of a horizontal, stationary, half-cylinder with revolving helical ribbons
placed on a central shaft so as to move materials from one end to the other as the shaft and ribbon
rotate inside.
Capacity can be from a few litres to several cubic metres. The speed of shaft rotation will vary inversely
as the circumference of the outer ribbon; usually optimum between 75-100 metres per minute.
Finally the final product is unloading by the dicharge system with controll manual valve gate.

Q:How a feed mixer is used in the feed mill ?
A: one is to match with a hammer mill as group to produce premix
the other is used in the chicken ,animal, pig, cattle feed production line as a mixing section
A typical example is pig feed making group as follows: A hammer mill, mixer,screw conveyor, cyclone
and dust collector.
1.Hammer mill:crush the grain into particles or powder which are lifted into the feed mixer by PVC tube.
2.Feed mixer: only mix all the raw materials uniform and together.
3.Screw conveyor: to add the other auxiliary ingredients into the feed mixer.
4.Cyclones: two small ones are colleting the dust from crushing and mixing process, the big one is as a
channel for crushed raw materials into feed mixer and also dust passing channel into dust collecting bag.
5.Dust collecting bag: some dust gas can flow into the bags to be get rid of.
