BRASS
Brass Woven Wire Mesh is comprised of Copper and Zinc. Brass Woven Wire Mesh is similar to Copper in that it has a high resistance to acids and abrasion. The presence of Zinc gives Brass Woven Wire Mesh added abrasion resistance and tensile strength over the softer Copper Woven Wire Mesh. On the other hand, Brass is highly susceptible to ammonia and its salts. One of the most common uses for Brass is filtering discs. Various chemical compositions of Brass Woven Wire Mesh are presented below. Please note, Shengfa's most popular and demanded type of Brass is Yellow Brass (60%-65% to 40% to 35%).

Low brass is the most popular brass alloy for wire cloth screens. With an analysis of 80% copper and 20% zinc, low brass offers good resistance to corrosion like copper although its electrical and thermal conductivity are lower. The tensile properties of brass screen is higher than those of copper with some sacrifice in formability.
Brass(typically 80% copper, 20% zinc) has much better abrasion resistance, better corrosion resistance and lower electrical conductivity when compared to copper. The tensile properties of brass screen is higher than those of copper with some sacrifice in formability.Brass will usually maintain its bright finish over time, will not darken with age as does copper.
