Our Cook's Blowtorch is Award Winning because of its safety features, effectiveness and ease of use. Firstly, it has an insulated soft grip body so there no chance of it slipping in wet or greasy hands. Secondly, press the red button and you have instant lighting from the piezo trigger. It's so easy to light that you won't be tempted to leave it running unnecessarily. Thirdly, the flame can be simply and precisely controlled from pin point to full heat at the turn of the top knob And finally, unlike some other torches, it has an anti-flare feature at all angles, so you can caramelise into corners without the flame going out or flaring onto the worksurface. The base is stable and heavy and contains the refill point. Our Cook's Blowtorch contains a 20ml refillable cylinder and is fuelled by butane lighter fuel. A single fill will last for around 60 minutes - it's a very economical blowtorch. It fully conforms to British and European Standards BS EN ISO9994 Safety regulations do not allow it to be sold in a fuelled state or to send butane gas through the postal system, but 250ml cylinders are available from most newsagents and DIY retailers - which will give you plenty of refills.
