The PVDFPM series are absolute rated filters that offer superior bacteria and particle removal for pharmaceutical applications. They PVDFPM series features a validated hydrophilic PVDF membrane over a non-woven polypropylene support layer. A validation certificate is available to support the bacteria challenge results.
The PVDFPM series filters are 100% tested in manufacturing to ensure absolute bacteria retention with typical titre reduction of >107/cm2; Quantitative retention of 107 CFU/cm2 Brevundimonas diminuta ATCC® 19146 per ASTM methodology. Component materials meet the criteria of the USP <88> Reactivity Test for Class VI Plastics and USP <88> Safety Test, utilizing a 0.9% sodium chloride extraction. Component materials also meet the "non-fiber releasing" criteria as defined in 21 CFR 210.3 (b) (6) and the USP Oxidizable Substances Test requirements after a water flush of <1 L.
