Description:
This is an all graphite material containing no resins or inorganic fillers. It is available with or without a metal insertion, and in adhesive-back tape form. Flexible Graphite has outstanding resistance to corrosion against a wide variety of acids, alkalies and salt solutions, organic compounds, and heat transfer fluids, even at high temperatures. There are two proven metal reinforced flexible graphite laminate materials ideal for 95% of all sheet gasket applications. Lamons flexible graphite laminates (SL-SS and SL-TC) are surface branded for easy identification. These gasket materials meet refinery, petrochemical and industrial service requirements.

MAIN PROPERTIES:
Flexible graphite roll(sheet) is made from flake graphite with high carbon content which has gone through chemical treatment, expanding under high temperature and then rolling. It has the characteristics of high or low temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, anti-irradiation, low creep relaxation, good elasticity &recovery, excellent self-lubrecity & low friction coefficient.
Flexible Graphite Sheets and Laminates are made with high purity Flexible Graphite. There are two basic types: Adhesive bond and mechanically bond (Tang Inserted).

3412-L Plain Graphite Sheet, homogeneous, no insert
3412-R Graphite Laminate, 316 Stainless Steel Foil insert, adhesive bond
3412-E Graphite Laminate, 316 Stainless Steel Tang insert, mechanically bond
3412-S Graphite Laminate, 316 Stainless Steel Wire Mesh insert, adhesive bond
3412-P Graphite Laminate, Mylar (Polyester) Film Insert
3412-J Graphite Laminate, Tinplated Carbon Steel Tang insert, mechanically bond
Other Styles: Per customer's request, we can also supply Graphite Laminates reinforced with materials not on above list, such as: Fiber Glass Fabric, Carbon Steel Foil, Aluminum Foil, Nickel Alloy, Monel, etc.

Thickness: 1/32", 1/16", 1/8"
Sheet Size: 39.4" x 39.4"(Meter Size) and 60" x 60"
Other sizes are also available per special order. For certain thickness, it can also be supplied in continuous roll form.
Applications:
Applications for Graphite Laminates
3412-L Pure Graphite Laminate can be used for flange gasket in relatively low pressure sealing condition. Attributing to good thermal conductivity of graphite, 2030-L is an ideal filler material for metal jacketed gaskets (corrugated metal gaskets, heat exchanger gaskets).
3412-R and 2030-E, these two 316 stainless steel reinforced Graphite Laminates are ideal sheet gasket materials for most industrial fluid sealing applications. They resist corrosive chemicals, high temperature, high pressure. Recommended to be used in refineries, chemical and petrochemical plants, paper mills, mines and other industrial fields.
3412-J is generally recommended for automotive and other combustion engine applications, or similar sealing conditions. Typically it is used for head gasket, exhaust gasket.
