2. Operational principle.
In hydraulic system,the compression of gas medium is utilized to store the fluid.The diaphragm accumulator is based on the principle,using nitrogen as the compressible medium.The diaphragm accumulator consists of a fluid section and a gas section with the diaphragm acting as a gas-proof screen.The fluid section is connected with the hydraulic circuit,so that the diaphragm accumulator draws in the fluid and the gas is compressed when the pressure increae.When the pressure drops,the compressed gas expands and forces the stored fluid into the circuit.

Vibration absorption.
The accumulator can absorb the mechanical vibration,because the gas in the accumulator works as spring to reduce the impact and vibration of vehicle.
Blance.
The accumulator can be used as balancer,which use the gas pressure in accumulator to balance the weight and the impact of the product or machine.
Volume compensation.
In closed circuit, internal pressure changes due to the variety in temperature which result in the liquid volume variery.The accumulator rduces the chande of pressure,and protect the valves,gaskets and pressure gauge from failure.
