Means of plate making
Plate making,in fact is the electric carving plate,some factories will call it copper mold\gravure or steel plate.Below is some details about how to make electric carving plate:
1.We will cut the size we need from one piece of big iron sheet(length 10M width 2M thickness 0.4M),our regular size is 45CM*46CM.
2.The iron sheet we cut will roll up in a cylinder,which can called iron plate.In this process,need to polish the iron sheet continuously,or the plate surface will become not flat which may affect the printing quality.
3.Make Electric welding on the connection of the cylinder iron plate.
Above three steps we call it plate rolling.The weight of a common plate is about 20kg.
4.Need to polish the iron plate again after electric welding as it will become rusty in the process of transportation or storage.It can remove the rust when polishing,and it need one time rough grinding and two times more for fine grinding.
5.After finish grinding,we need to check the surface of the plate whether somewhere is concave or convex.If have then need to polish again,either go into next step.
Step 4 and step 5 we call it grinding.It takes about 40min to 1 hour to finish one plate grinding.
6.Copper plating.Need to plate the iron with a layer of about 4um thickness copper , as the pattern will be carved on the copper surface.It takes about 20-40 min for one plate.
7.After finish copper plating need to check the plate surface again.If no problem then go into next step.
Step 6 and step 7 we call it electroplate.It has been copper plate after finish these two steps.
8.After confirm the copper plate, it will carve the designs by our imported advanced electric carving machine according to the color separation in advance.Each color will be engraved on different plate.
9.Now comes to the last process:chrome-plating.It's the second time of electroplate.
10.It need the final quality check after finish above all steps.If no problem then can start printing.
