The cast iron hollow bar made by "upward continuous casting" could be cut into rings by narrow gap of milling cutter, then to make piston rings for combustion engine, which will improve the material utilization rate from 20-30% to 50%-60% comparing with traditional casting technique.
The continuous cast ductile iron hollow bar for making the first piston ring has come into use normally, of which the piston rings are made will increase over 50% in working life compare with common rings.
Nodularity 85—95%, Density Of Graphite Nodule 450—690/mm2

Bending Strength σbb, Elastic modulus, Elastic Disappear Rate ≤8%;Hardness adjustable as required
The continuous cast grey iron hollow bar for making the second piston ring, in which the eutectic cell of matrix could reach at 3000pcs/cm2 , the graphite morphology appear in D type, E type or D+E type, so it's well suitable for making high quality piston ring, such as F14 or G2 rings.
