General Description
Common end connections are flanged, hub and studded. Some ones use names like "riser spool" or "surface riser spools". When ordering should specify the length according to stack height. Each Adapter spool is Pressure, drift and dimensionally tested before shipment. Drift testing is done to ensure that access to the well-bore is not restricted.
Body and flanges are manufactured from low alloy steel like AISI 4130,Application of CRA (AISI 316L or Nickel alloy 625) enhance the corrosion resistance ability of ring groove, thus in turn, enhance the product life. Lifting pad-eye is well capable of handling the weight of the spool. Spools are either single piece forged or welded construction, which depends on criticality and customer requirement.
When "minimum height or length" is specified, Adapter flange Spacer Spools have corresponding appropriate height (or length) with adequate clearance to accommodate studs, nuts, wrenches, and clamps as applicable. Adapter flange Spacer spools can be designed with lifting lug in accordance with the case.
