With the dimming function of these electronic ballasts, users can decrease the level of light for the propagation or early growth phase to accommodate younger plants which don't need full intensity light until later growth stages or even use lower wattage bulbs, effectively allowing a 600 watt ballast to safely use 400 and 250 watt bulbs, which increases the versatility of the ballast and will help in reducing electricity costs
2. This ballast also features a super-lumen feature to push mature plants into overdrive by providing the extra light that older plants need to continue vigorous growth in the late growth stages.
