Terminology

Wavelength_Light energy available for selective absorption by the target tissue; It can be interpreted as light intensity, the larger the number the greater the energy is.

Pulse width_Duration for target tissue exposure and heat. It can be interpreted as the time that the light stays on the skin, higher the number the greater the heat is; normally for surface pigment, such as color spot, the smaller pulse width shall be selected, more energy shall be selected, so that most of the energy can act on the epidermis in a short time, helping the decomposition of pigments. For the treatment of red blood streak and other deep pigments, larger pulse width shall be selected, and the more coarse the blood streak, the greater the pulse width shall be selected, but for safety, the selected energy shall decrease slightly with the increase in the pulse width. Therefore, the choice of energy and pulse width is related.
