You can either charge the case separate from the phone or with the phone attached to the case. If charging the the phone with the case please do as following:

Charging your battery case and phone:
Connect your battery case(phone already installed)to the 8 pin power cable
connect the 8 pin cable to any USB power source such as computer to start charging.

press again the power button(about 3s) to turn off the battery case when phone is fully charged, which can significantly save the capacity of built-in battery so as to charge the phone next time.
