* Introduction
The engine room of a ship includes generators, boilers, and various other units. The Feedwater
Filter Tank, which pulls seawater and feeds cooling water to a boiler consists of a filter that
separates and removes impurities from seawater, an oil detector, which takes note of and
prevents the inflow or backflow of oil to the sea, and a salinometer, which measures the salinity of
the incoming seawater. A steam injector is installed inside the tank to keep the temperature of the
tank between 60 and 80 °C. In addition, it also keeps the outside of the tank warm. A similar
number of pump units, such as Feedwater Pump, Circulation Pump, and Economizing F.W. Pump,
are united all together based on the required capacity.
