Spherical roller bearings are double row, self-retaining units comprising inner rings with two raceways inclined at an angle to the bearing axis , outer rings with a common spherical raceway, spherical rollers, cages and in certain designs also internal guide rings or center rings. The bearings can also be sealed.
Due to the spherical internal shape of the outer ring and spherical rollers, the spherical roller bearings are self-aligning and insensitive to misalignment of the shaft relative to the housing, which can be caused, for example, by shaft deflection. They can accommodate both heavy radial load and axial loads.

Spherical roller bearing is the most important component on the conveyor roller, with the development of the bearing industry, we had gradually discovered the possibilities for the improvement of the spherical roller bearing in its features.
1. It would increase the lifetime of the spherical roller bearing extremely if the wear resistance of it could be strengthened. If we use the macromolecule material such as copper which has a better machinery property to make the spherical roller bearing, the lubrication level of it would have an essential improvement, and could reduce the damage of the spherical roller bearing to the minimum.

What is the difference between using a shield or a seal as a ball bearing closure?
Shields or seals are often installed to retain lubricant and to prevent contamination from entering the bearing. While a shield contacts the outer ring and does not come in contact with the inner ring, the seal generally comes in contact with both the inner and outer rings. Torque or drag is lower with a shield than with a seal. Alternately, the seal provides a higher degree of protection from contamination. Shields and seals are available in a variety of materials and configurations.
