Propylene glycol is a colorless viscous hygroscopic liquid, almost tasteless and odorless. Miscible in water, acetone, acetic acid and chloroform, soluble in ether. Soluble in many essential oils, but with petroleum ether, mixture of paraffin and oil can not be dissolved. To heat, light is stable, low temperature more stable.Propylene glycol can be oxidized into aldehyde, at high temperature, lactic acid, pyruvic acid and acetic acid.

Product use
1, Used as resin, plasticizer, surface active agent, emulsifier and emulsion breaker, also can be used as anti freezing agent and heat carrier.
2, Used as gas chromatographic stationary liquid, solvent, antifreeze agent, plasticizer and water removal agent.
3, The carrier solvent; wetting agent; humectant; anti caking agent; antioxidant; modifier; surface active agent; stabilizer; thickener; dough conditioners; emulsifier; flavoring agent; excipients; processing aid.
