Aluminum die casting is a process in which molten aluminum alloy is injected into a casting mold under high pressure and at a controlled temperature. Most high pressure die castings need no machining other than the removal of flash around the edge, and in some cases drilling and tapping holes. High pressure die casting production is fast and inexpensive compared to other casting processes.
