Introduction of the pump through RD safety valve
The Pump Through Rupture Disc safety valve is a kind of testing tools that used for drill stem testing operation in HPHT well testing. The pump-thru RD safety valve is functioned by increasing the applied annulus pressure, so that the annulus pressure at the tool reaches a predertermined value at which point the Rupture Disc will burst. So the safety valve responses to annulus overpressure but can be reopened by pumping down the tubing.
The pump through Rupture Disc safety valve is composed of Power section and safety section. The desired operting pressure must be fixed before the Pump Thru RD Safety Valve is used.
