scallops, centerpipes and screen baskets are used in the petrochemical industry
to retain the catalyst or other media and to collect the process flow. 

Typical applications include reforming, hydrotreating and hydrocracking.

The continuous slot openings provide high open area for better flow and allow onlySlot openings are usually 1/2 of the minimum dimension of the media or inert balls.
