Direction of Rib-Lath installation
Rib-Lath must be installed horizontally against the floor and projected side of Rib must be installed to face towards the placed side because the projected side of Rib and the placed part become enbloc to prevent the surface from cracking and to get the placed side to stand the lateral pressure better than the other side
Horizontal overlapping of Rib-Lath
Overlapped Length of Rib-Lath is about 100mm horizontally to stick one past to the other at 2 points of each side of RIB as you can see in the picture.
Vertical overlapping of Rib-Lath
Vertical overlapping of Rib-Lath is basically overlapped and bound each other between upper and lower side. Ribs firmly with reinforcing steel as you can see in the picture.
Bend the Rib-Lath
If the placed side has angles or is to be cut, then put the part to be bent on the angle steel and make the Rib side flat by hammering. And then bend RIB to an angle as required.
Cut the Rib To cut the Rib, put the part being cut on the angle steel and make the Rib side flat by hammering as the way of "bending the Rib-Lath" to cut the flat thing with scissors or cutter. We recommend you to use cutter for a lot of quantity of RIB. |
Cut the Lath The joint part of the Lath with steel rods shall be cut by using the pruning shears. |
Reinforcing vertically Vertical reinforcement of RIB-LATH shall be installed within 300mm with reinforcing materials such as scaffold pipes, angled materials, angled pipes, iron reinforcing rods, etc. |
Reinforcing horizontally To reinforce horizontally, iron bars wiring work shall be carried out by placing the same materials as of vertical ones within the distances of @600mm (#10 iron wire), @800mm (#8 iron wire) at backside of vertical reinforcing. |
