Silica fabric is a high performance fiberglass fabric which contains more than 96% SiO2, it features excellent heat resistance and can withstand continuous temperatures of 1,000 C.deg for long periods of time, and up to 1,650 C.deg for limited periods.
The fabric is primarily used in hot work such as welding and burning operations and also useful for thermal and electrical insulation in stress relieving. It is available in a wide variety of fabricated forms including curtains, seals, pads, cloth and hemmed blankets.
Our Preshrunk versions of high silica fabric are identified by its White color, which is used in applications where shrinkage cannot be tolerated.
And our Standard (none-preshrunk) silica fabrics are Tan color.
The fabrics can also be treated by PTFE to enhance abrasion resistance.Specifications:
