The Incoloy sheets are: Incoloy 800 Sheet (Plate Strip) , Incoloy 800H Sheet, Incoloy 800HT Sheet and Incoloy 825Sheet.
1.Incoloy 800 Sheet (Plate Strip) :
Incoloy alloy 800 sheet is a widely used material of construction for equipment that must have high strength and resist oxidation, carburization and other harmful effects of high-temperature exposure.
Incoloy alloy 800 sheet (Plate Strip) is used for heat-treating equipment such as baskets, trays and fixtures. In chemical and petrochemical processing the alloy is used for heat exchangers and other piping systems in nitric acid media especially where resistance to chloride stress-corrosion cracking is required. The alloy is often used in domestic appliances for sheathing of electric heating elements. In the production of paper pulp, digester liquid heaters are often made of alloy 800. In petroleum processing , the alloy is used for heat exchangers that air-cool the process stream.
2.Incoloy alloys 800H sheet (Plate Strip) and 800HT sheet (Plate Strip) are used for high temperature applications requiring optimum creep and rupture properties, The chromium in the alloy imparts resistance to oxidation and corrosion. The high percentage of nickel maintains an austenitic structure so that the alloy is ductile. the nickel content also contributes resistance to scaling, general corrosion, and stress-corrosion cracking. The iron content provides resistance to internal oxidation.
Incoloy 800 Sheet (Plate Strip) is primarily used in applications with temperatures up to 1100° F, where incoloy alloy 800H Sheet (Plate Strip) and incoloy alloy 800HT Sheet (Plate Strip) are normally used in temperatures above 1100° F and where resistance to creep and rupture is required. The chemical balance allows the nickel steel alloy to exhibit excellent resistance to carburization, oxidation and nitriding atmospheres. Incoloy 800HT sheet (Plate Strip)will not become embrittled even after long periods of usage in the 1200-1600° F range where many stainless steels become brittle.
3: Incoloy 825 Sheet (Plate Strip) Poperties:
The Incoloy 825 sheet's (Plate Strip) chemical composition is designed to provide exceptional resistance to many corrosive environments. Incoloy 825 sheet (Plate Strip) is similar to incoloy 800 sheet but has improved resistance to aqueous corrosion. Incoloy 825 sheet (Plate Strip) has excellent resistance to both reducing and oxidizing acids, to stress-corrosion cracking, and to localized attack such as pitting and crevice corrosion. Alloy 825 sheet (Plate Strip) is especially resistant to sulfuric and phosphoric acids. This nickel alloy sheet is used for chemical processing, pollution-control equipment, oil and gas well piping, nuclear fuel reprocessing, acid production, and pickling equipment.
