The material is ready for use and easy to handle. It can be used within sufficient time to mould. LC tray can be cured in all typical polymerization devices: UAV/VIS blended light/stroboscope (wavelength of 420-480 NM) or UV (wavelength of 350-400 NM).
Making Process
Before working, store the trays under room temperature. Mark the line of the tray with a pencil. Leave sufficient space for labial, buccal frenum and frenum linguae. Fill undercuts with red wax and leave material gap. Tear off the fleece completely, and place the tray onto the model and bring the tray in shape. Cut off the edges as drawn before. The grip can be formed from surplus material.
Curing
Polymerization takes place in a suitable light oven with UAV/VIS blended light/stroboscope (wavelength of 420-480 NM) or UV (wavelength of 350-400 NM). Curing time depends on the type of the used light oven. Curing takes place on the plaster model inside the light curing-device, then take the tray off the model and cure the reverse side of the model:
Kulzer Uni XS:Polymerization time 4-5 minutes each side
Device with minimum 4 UV-A-tubes: Polymerization time 10 minutes each side
Longer curing time improves the physical properties of the material (higher strength). The cured tray now is ready for use and can be manipulated. The inhibition layer, which occurs by the oxygen inhibition, can be easily wiped off with an alcoholic-moisturized napkin.
For a better adhesion between the silicone impression material and the individual tray, suggest using an adhesive system (LCT PERPLINK (A) for addition curing vinyl silicones or LCT PERPLINK (C)) for condensation curing vinyl silicones resp.).
Warnings
LC Tray contains methacrylates. Methacrylates are irritating eyes, respiratory and skin. In case of contact with skin, wash with plenty of water and soap. In case of contact with eyes, rinse with plenty of water and consult a physician in time.
