Butyl Rubber Sheet

SUNWELL Butyl Rubber is a copolymer or isobutylene and a smallpercentage of insoprene and has a very low permeability to air and othergases. Butyl rubber has excellent resistance to ozone, oxidation andsunlight.

Temperature:
- 45 oC to + 130 oC

Application:
Butyl rubber has a very low resilience which makes it ideal forvibration damping and shock absorption application. But offer a moderateresistance to abrasion and compression set. With careful compounding,butyl compound can be made to acquire really good tensile strength.Butyl is resistant to most inorganic products and highly resistant tomineral acids, alkalines and aqueous acids.
Note: SUNWELL do no recommend its use in application where resistanceto oils and hydrocarbons is required.
