Application of rod mill
Rod mill is widely applied in metal and nonmetal mine, glass and construction materials industries, mainly suitable for grinding various ores, rocks and artificial sand-making. Our high-efficiency rod mill adopts rolling bearing support instead of sliding bearing support with bearing bush. Therefore, it has advantages of even discharging size and high capacity.
The different features of ball mill and rod mill
As with other types of mills, a rod mill is used to grind material into fine powder, but differs from a ball mill in that it employs long steel rods instead of balls asgrinding medium. The mill length is limited by manufacturing constraints for the grinding rods. Rod mills are typically used for grinding ores, coal, and other materials for both wet and dry applications. Length-to-diameter ratios should be kept above 1.4 to prevent rod entanglement. In general, rod mills create a coarser product than ball mills. Rod mill speed is typically slower than ball mill.

Features of Rod Mill
Rod Mill has wide application range, its performance has reached the international advanced level, and it is the most effective, practical, and reliable sand-making equipment at present. The rod mill is especially applicable for the fine and middle crushing of such hard and fragile materials as sand for building (to crush such raw materials as the blue stone, limestone, scree and granite boulder into sand for building), abrasive materials, corhart, cement, quartz sand, steel sand, slag, powdery copper ore, iron ore, gold sand, aggregate of concrete and pitch and so on.
