The main targets when designing an FP propeller are:
-Efficiency (related to speed)
-Cavitation behaviour (related to noise)
-Pressure pulses on the hull(related to vibrations)
-Meeting the strength requirements.
Design Philosophy:
FP propellers meet these demands,and provide a wide variation in speedand power densities for any type of ship. Our design experience covers arange of vessel applications, including high-powered fastcontainerships, tankers, bulk carriers and cruise liners.
We have extensive hydrodynamic knowledge and have developed design toolsbased upon years of experience with calculations, model test results,and full- scale measurements. Our research and development efforts arededicated towards continuous improvement in the hydrodynamic design ofour propellers. To achieve this goal, we co-operate with researchinstitutes and universities in joint research projects. Our aim is toimprove our knowledge and full scale experience, and to improve ourdesign and analysis methods, including Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD). We also supply PROPULSION SOLUSIONS and a wide array of PROPUSIONEQUIPMENTS, such as shaftlines, shaftline accessories, and rudders.
