WLQ Series Of High Voltage Cage Type Motor Starter
Range of application
It is applicable to the soft starting and protection of large and medium cage style motor or synchronization motor with a rated voltage of 3kV~10kV, especially in industrial and mining establishments where power grid capacity is not enough.
Operating principles
Put special liquid resistor which can perform voltage division and current limiting into the motor stator loop, in the starting, liquid resistor's resistance can automatically change from large to small within the set time, when it changes to zero, the liquid resistor is automatically cut off and the motor gets into operation.
Main performance characteristics
Small starting current, 1.5~3.5 times of the motor's rated current;
Smooth starting, no shock, guarantee for the reliable operation of power grid, effective protection motor and transmission gear and strengthens the equipments' service life;
Continuous starting 5~7 times, starting performance is better than reactor starting and thermal alteration resistor starting;
With sound warning function and motor protection;
PLC control, reliability;
Simple structure, convenient maintenance, and low requirements for maintenance staff;
Aiming at different load conditions and different use occasions, rotary plate structure and shift-type structure with autonomous patent right were respectively developed to make it have wide adaptability.
In order to satisfy the special requirements of the occasion where the frequent starting happens, the frequent-starting type high voltage cage-shaped starter with autonomous patent right was developed to better overcome the disadvantage that the common high voltage cage-shaped starter cannot be started frequently.

Environmental temperature: －40℃~＋50℃;
Air relative humidity: shall not exceed 90%;
Altitude shall not exceed 1000m ( it can be specially designed according to the specific operating condition when the altitude is over 1000m );
Ground gradient shall not exceed 5°;
Installation places shall be free from fire, explosion, chemical rosion and excessive vibration.

Notes: Due to the upgrading of products, external and installation dimensions may be changing, please take the specific products as the standard.
When you select the liquid resistance cabinet with an isolating switch, the cabinet of type WLQ5-2500 and below should be widen more 200mm, from WLQ5-3000 and above, the cabinet should be widen more 500mm for the switch.
Please consider the factors below when you select a product:
1, The types above are suitable for the normal load, when the load is heavy, such as sintered exhauster and mill motor, it is better to select a high level type according to the motor power.
2, The total size of the product shape should be in the structure plus front and rear door thickness. It is about 50mm, isolation plate thickness is about 30mm.
3, If need to combine with the GG-1 cabinet, the height of the cabinet can be 2800mm.
4, If need to combine with KYN28 cabinet, you should choose 2300mm height cabinet, but the plane size must upgrade a level according to the motor power.
5, Star cabinet and short sub cabinet must be ordered separately, the width of cabinet is 1000mm or 1100mm, if combined, its depth and height should be identical with the liquid resistance cabinet.
