1. Introduction

        Corrugated web automatic welding machine adopts line laser detection, the change of the corrugated web through the line laser scanning, the data will be analyzed by the motion controller, at the same time to sweep surface and welding.

        Corrugated web automatic welding machine has the functions of work-piece can be arbitrary clamped, don't need level to the work-piece and guide rail, it can completely automatic control the height of welding torch and achieve the front and back, up and down rotating action, through the analysis data of the movement controller, welding torch can stay the speed in the welding process, mechanical drive all adopts servo motor driven, improve the tracking precision of the welding torch.

 

2. Equipment composition

        The system consists of guide frame, automatic welding carriage, laser scanning system, control system, welding power, welding workbench, etc. Automatic welding carriage on the guide frame carrying actuator and laser seam tracking system to realize real time tracking welding, full digital control system recognize the seam tracking trajectory, through the information of the welding seam by central controller, and give orders to the relevant data after processing, control the position of the welding torch, finally to realizes the automatic welding.

        The set of welding system uses a modular design, make the maintenance, debugging, welding operate simple and flexible, high efficiency and stable performance.

 

Guide frame

        Guide frame is mainly composed of welded structure steel, annealing treatment after welding, good rigidity. On the base is equipped with linear guide, linear guide assembly in the card slot, rack and linear guide rail is parallel installed on the frame. Guide rail connect the base land by bolts.

 

Automatic welding carriage

        Welding carriage is equipped on the beam orbit, the carriage adopts servo motor driven through the gear, using two guide rails and rack on the long beam as the direction of the welding torch longitudinal driven, namely the X axis of the triaxial system. Automatic welding carriage is mainly composed of carriage platforms, electric actuators, distance regulating mechanism, etc. Welding carriage platform adopts welded steel structure. Driving force is installed at the bottom and driven by servo motor, after precision reducer slow down by wear-resisting gears mesh with the rack on the guide frame, automatic welding carriage's move by precision sliding block and guide base on precision linear guide, electric actuators are made up of two sets of electric pallet, two-dimensional motion mechanism (Y, Z axis), as the torch of running up/ down and horizontal driven path, the Z axis is installed on the Y axis, welding torch clamped on the Z axis, and Z axis follow-up with the X axis and Y axis move, to realize the three dimensional motion of welding torch. Welding torch under the instruction of the CPU to do three dimensional linear movement to complete the operation, gun into, start arc, welding, stop arc, gun back, back to zero. Electric actuator is driven by servo motor, after precision reducer slow down and transmission by precision nut screw. Servo motor to realize stepless speed regulation, convenient and fast control. Electric pallet with laser sensor welding scanning to realize location scan of the welding space. In automatic welding carriage are installed electric control cabinet, wire feeding, power box, protective fence, and other important components. In the vertical direction of Z axis, similar with Y axis institutions, fitted with linear guide, closely contact with vertical connection plate. Driven by servo motor and ball screw, the driven has a high precision. Convenient for wire feeding at the same time, wire feeding is installed on the vertical organization. To reduce the secondary cable current attenuation, the welding power source is installed on the automatic welding carriage.

 

Laser scanning system

        This system has two laser sensors to gather and dispose the welding information, the two sets of sensors are fixed on the welding carriage, along with the welding carriage movement. One set is used to track waveform change of the corrugated web near the welding seam, installed at seam tracking surface (horizontal distance is about 350mm). Another set is used to track height the frame on the side panel, installed at the up of welding torch (the height is about 250 mm from the welding seam). These two laser scanners to realize a two dimensional dynamic tracking of welded work-piece. By microcomputer CPU will overlay treat displacement information of  X axis, to formed three dimensional space information instruction and send to the three axis running system, to ensure machinery space of the welding torch in two line intersection point(no matter two tracking board is vertical or not), and finally to achieve the tracking effect of the welding seam, in order to avoid the welding arc light and splash impact on tracking system, add baffle on the welding carriage, equipped with protective lens in front of the laser scanner.

 

Control system

        Control system to choose made in China brand products, stable performance, quick responsive, high precision. Spare parts choose the famous brand products. According to the technology of welded work-piece, the system when in welding process but current can be adjusted. The machine has control functions of "manual" adjustment and "automatic" welding. In the "manual" state can realize adjust of welding speed, welding gun position, initial point. In the "automatic" state the welding process is automatically. Welding torch with functions of collision. During the welding process if some trouble coming, after remove fault can be arbitrary point start welding.
