OnAccess43x Series Triple Play Optical Network Unit (ONU) is designed to deliver ultra broadband internet data access, high quality voice over IP telephony and full-spectrum CATV services for Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) access network.
OnAccess43x Series ONU includes a fiber termination unit (FTU) and an active equipment (AE). The fiber can access the FTU from the back, top, bottom, left or right of the unit, and the fiber connectors in the fiber tray are protected from dust/dirt and physical damages well over their life time. The FTU is also designed to make AE installation easy, fast and time independent from FTU installation. This patented FTU structure of FirstMile enables easy deployment and maintenance by network builders. It is also a robust and cost-effective solution for terminating fiber access, with the flexibility to install the AE together with the FTU, or to install the AE later when the end user wants to activate their services.
OnAccess43x ONU provides two independent management platforms for VoIP service and Ethernet data service respectively, which allows different network operators to provision the services independently.
OnAccess43x ONU offers WiFi access in addition to the conventional wired Internet access.
OnAccess41x Series ONU has FirstMile's Customer Orientated ONU Load (COOL) capability. It can build a smart factory default configuration load on the ONU based on the customer's needs. This COOL capability provides the network operators with a tool to preset and/or reset the default configuration on the ONU, which can bring down their operational cost.
