Self-aligning Thrust Roller Bearings
This type of bearing, comprising barrel-shaped convex rollers arranged at an angle with the axis,is self-aligning due to spherical housing washer raceway. This type of bearing can carry great axial load, and also can accommodate a small amount of radial load as well as heavy axial load.but the magnitude of radial load should be not more than 55% of the axial load being carried
Allowable aligning angle will decrease with the increase of load.
They are usually used with oil lubrication .
This type of bearing is mainly applied in hydroelectric generator ,vertical motors,propeller shafts for ships,jib cranes,rolling mill rollnecks.
Minimum axial load
This minimum necessary axial load is required for the operating of spherical thrust roller bearings .of the two values determined by the two equations below,the higher should be defined as the minimum necessary axial load.
Thrust Cylindrical Roller Bearings
This type of bearing is split type, and comprises washer-shaped rings(shaft and housing washer)and cylindrical roller and cage assembly. This type of bearing should not be mounted with misalignment of shaft against housing axes.
This type of bearing is suitable for low-speed rotation,and only can carry axial load and can not limit radial displacement.
Thrust Tapered Roll Bearings in Both Directions
This type of bearing is split type and consists of two cone assemblies.two housing washers,one shaft washer and one central washer.there bearings can carry heavy axial load in both directions and can not of these bearings is adjusted by using central washer.if no central washer, by using spring,these bearings are mainly suitable for lower-speed rotation and rolling mill roll necks.
