The cable pusher version has been designed to allow cable to be lifted in from one side. Cable Laying Equipment design has the advantage of being more compact when used in restricted areas such as a trench. Cable laying machines is easier to lift heavy cable into the side of the pusher than cable pusher is to lift it over the pusher and into the top. The hydraulic power Cable Laying Equipment unit includes the control laying and is positioned remotely, generally on the embankment above the trench.
