Technical conditions for plates of NVE420-Z35

 

1.       Scope

The technical conditions apply to plates of NVE420-Z35 with thickness not more than 150mm. (10mm-150mm)

2.       Dimension, Shape, Weight and Permissible Deviation

The dimension, shape, weight and permissible deviation shall meet the requirements of DNV RULES.

The flatness of plates shall be =< 5mm/1m and =<8mm/2m.

3.       Technical conditions

3.1   Chemical composition (Ladle analysis)

The chemical composition of plates shall be accordance with the following table 1.

3.2   Carbon equivalent (CEq)

Carbon equivalent shall be not more than 0.43 for plates of NVE420-Z35-Z35.

Carbon equivalent shall be calculated as follows:

CE=C+Mn/6+(Cr+Mo+V)/5+(Ni+Cu)/15 (%)

 

3.3   Tensile properties

The tensile properties of NVE420-Z35 shall meet the requirement as table 2.

3.4   Impact properties

Impact test in the longitudinal and transverse for plates of NVE420-Z35 shall meet the requirements per table 3.

3.5   Grain size

Grain size for plates shall be according to DNV RULES.

3.6   Surface quality

The surface quality of plates shall be accordance with DNV RULES.

3.7   Ultrasonic inspection

Plates shall be ultrasonic inspected per EN10160,S1E1.

3.8     Direction of Thickness

Through thickness tension testing shall be done according to EN10164 (%Re ≥ 35)

3.9   Test method and inspection rules

Test items, sampling quantity, sampling method and test method shall conform to table 4.

4.       Package, marking and certificate

Package, marking and certificate shall conform to DNV RULES.

5.       The third party inspection

The chemical composition, tensile test and Charpy -V impact test for plates of NVE420-Z35 shall be witnessed by surveyor of DNV.

6.       Delivery conditions

The delivery conditions for plates of NVE420-Z35 shall be Quenching+ Tempering.

7.       Other requirements

The other requirements for plates of NVE420-Z35 shall be accordance with DNV RULES..
