Eight different measurement functions come pre-loaded with the total station, and are quickly accessed through the applications program menu. Use the layout function to ensure alignment accuracy of columns, fencing lines, and formworks, and to ensure against racking in greenhouses or other structures. The area and volume function is perfect for checking to see if those windows fit, or to be doubly sure how much asphalt to order for a parking lot. The application software also allows you free choice of setup positions, the choice of using control lines or coordinates for setup, as well as using the existing axis as the reference line.
