Important Information on Placement
Family room: CO alarm should be near 'nostril height' which is around the light switch height. Bedroom: should be even lower. CO is almost the same weight as air and doesn't rise like smoke. If you can't have one in each bedroom, have at least one for every level of your home, including the basement.

Important: Battery Operated
Some US States require battery operated or battery back-up units. Plug-in units may seem to be convenient, but when the power goes out, the gas or wood heater normally goes on. This is when CO detection is most imperative. Our Battery Powered units do not use electric power. They are not plug in units. Never be complacent about an alarm, as CO can affect your judgement. It the alarm sounds, there IS a problem. Don't ignore it!
