1.Description
SEEK Organic BamBoo Power BBP No.1 is a Bamboo Biochar based, organic fertilizer. The product composition is based on soil biology requirements, the physical properties of bamboo and some advanced, international technology know-how. The major components include bamboo biochar, bamboo ash, bamboo vinegar and other premium organic components. BBP No.1 is certified as 100% organic by IMO according to regulations of EC and USDA.
2.Features and Characteristics
1.Reduces atmospheric Carbon Dioxide (CO2) by trapping it as charcoal carbon permanently in the soil.
2.Ameliorates soil structures, repairs damaged soil, increases soil aeration in heavy soil and water retention in sandy soil.
3.Absorbs residues of pesticides & heavy metals, purifies underground water and releases beneficial minerals to increase the overall health and fertility of the soil.
4.Strengthens plant roots systems, balances the supply and demand of nutrients for plants to increase crop yields.
5.Enhances decease resistance, improves the taste, appearance and shelf life of produce and crops;particularly of fruits and vegetables.
6.Raises the temperature of the soil, regulates its moisture content and reduces the need for chemical fertilizers.

4.Scope
1. Suitable for all organic agriculture and horticulture including planting organic vegetables, fruit trees, flowers etc.
2. Also suitable as a nutritious soil improver for traditional, chemical farming, achieving substantial reductions in fertilizer and pesticide needs.
5. Application Methods and Amount:
1. Application rates vary from 1,500-1,800kg per hectare as the basic fertilizer, depending on soil type and chemistry, crop type, fertilization and irrigation methods, climate etc.

6. Packing and Store:
1. Stored in cool & dry place, BBP No.1 is stable for 2 years.
2. May be harmful if swallowed. Keep children, pets and livestock away when applying the product.

They are tested on SEEK's experimental plots, located in Sunqiao, Shanghai, before going into the global market. Lots of attention has been drawn to the expertise of our R&D members. In 2013, SEEK joined the International Biochar Initiative (IBI) as a business member focusing on supporting a growing biochar industry through material and quality standards, sustainability guidelines and certification. The performance of our products and market strategies have been recognized by Dr. Joseph from Australia and Dr. Pan from Nanjing Agriculture University (NJAU). In 2014, SEEK will establish a cooperative research project with NJAU on the effectiveness of our bamboo biochar based products as fertilizers and soils amendments and their respective effects on crop quality, yield improvements, various pest infestations, fertilizer demand and water demand etc.
