High Bond Waterproof Ceramic Tile Adhesive With Heat Resistant
PB-02 Tile Gum is a high performance, professional formula adhesive with the high bond strengths required for all kinds of tiles and stones installations. Suited for ceramic, mosaic, quarry, pavers, gauged slate, porcelain and gauged stone tile. PB-02 provides maximum resistance to intermittent water exposure.
Product Description:
PB-02 Tile Gum is a high performance, professional formula adhesive with the high bond strengths required for all kinds of tiles and stones installations. Suited for ceramic, mosaic, quarry, pavers, gauged slate, porcelain and gauged stone tile. PB-02 provides maximum resistance to intermittent water exposure.
Where to use:
1. Interior floors, walls, countertops do not use in critical water exposure areas
2. Concrete, masonry, plaster.
3. Wallboard in dry areas only.
4. Exterior grade plywood in dry interior areas.
5. Existing ceramic tile.
6. Resilient flooring.
7. Existing plastic laminates.
Application:
1. Use a typical notched trowel (see chart) with sufficient depth to ensure proper transfer, covering at least 80% of the tile back.
2. Using the flat edge of the trowel, spread the adhesive on the substrate. Apply additional material and comb the surface using the trowel's notched side to achieve an even-setting bed. Do not spread more adhesive than can be covered with tiles within 30 to 45 minutes. If skinning occurs, scrape off skin and replace with fresh adhesive.
3. Place tiles firmly in position on the fresh adhesive with a slight twisting motion to ensure a positive bond.
4. Make all alignments and adjustments immediately (do not exceed 45 minutes).
5. Promptly use water to clean smudges from the face of the tiles while adhesive is still fresh. Once adhesive has dried, clean with mineral spirits.
6. Wash hands and tools with water while adhesive is still fresh.
7. Allow tiles to reach a firm set, then grout with an appropriate Pinbang grout.
Precautions:
1. Protect containers from freezing in transit and storage.
2. This product is freeze/thaw-stable at temperatures down to 0° F (-18). However, protect all water-based products from freezing. If this material is frozen, do not stir it until it has completely thawed.
3. Provide for heated storage on site and deliver materials at least 24 hours before tile work begins.
4. Protect from water until the adhesive has reached its final set.
5. Floors: Keep free from general traffic for at least 72 hours after installation. Plywood or stepping boards may be used after 24 hours when occasional stepping on the floor is unavoidable.
6. Walls: Protect from impact, vibration and hammering on adjacent and opposite walls for at least 14 days after installation.
Shelf Life:
12 months in its original packing in a dry and cool place.
